Add Pay Code - Org Access

The Add Pay Code - Org Access button opens a screen to select an organization unit, and then grant or deny access to all pay codes assigned to the selected organization unit.

You can also deny data access to pay codes by assigning pay code exclusions to unions. The data access associated with an employee's union trumps all other data access associated with their roles.

To grant access to pay codes in a specific organization unit and all organization units below it

1. Click the Add Pay Code - Access button.

2. Enter the values in the organization unit fields through that organization unit level.

3. In the Classification field, select Grant.

   The system allows Pass Through access for all parent structure levels above the granted organization unit. For example, if you grant an employee access to a specific facility at structure level 3, that employee is automatically given Pass Through access to structure levels 1 and 2.

4. Click Save.

To grant access to pay codes in all organization structure levels

1. Click the Add Pay Code - Org Access button.

2. Do not enter any values in the organization unit fields.

3. In the Classification field, select Grant.

4. Click Save.

To deny access to the pay codes in a single organization unit

1. Click the Add Pay Code - Org Access button.

2. Enter the values in the organization unit fields through that organization unit level.

3. In the Classification field, select Deny.

4. Click Save.

To deny access to a single pay code in an accessible organization unit

1. Click the Add Pay Code Access button.

2. Enter the organization unit and pay code values.

3. In the Classification field, select Deny.

4. Click Save.

Classification

This setting determines the access level to this organization unit. Grant gives the user access to this organization level, Pass Through allows the user only the access required to get to a lower structure level, and Deny does not allow access to this organization unit.

Organization Unit

Select the appropriate code for this field. The number of organization unit levels available and the organization unit names displayed depend upon the corporate structure.
